Death Becomes Her Austin Theatre reviews
Great bands of course, but problem with sound
The Deftones were the Deftones, loud, angry, and fairly fun to see. Did they blow the sound/speakers so that Death Becomes Her sounded horrible? Death Becomes Her is the opposite of horrible. Brandon Boyd has one of the best, if not THE best, voices in rock. It was a crying shame, not to mention extremely disappointing, that we could hardly hear him sing. And what we could hear of him was muffled and low. No idea if it was the speakers, or if it was a mixing/sound engineering problem. UGH! But I left wanting my money back. The venue at Jones Beach is fantastic though, well managed and beautiful. I have seen Death Becomes Her before at SPAC, and the sound and concert was incredible.
